I believe that a desk mat is part of the foundation of your gaming setup, almost as important as the desk and chair. It sets the mood of your space because of its size and where it lays: at the center of the desk. I recommend selecting a desk mat over a mouse pad because it breaks up the surface space of the desk and frames together the keyboard and mouse. Gaming Mouse
Bias to popular belief, the gaming mouse can be selected without the influence of the keyboard. These two do not need to match, but they should both support the theme of the space. Speakers
